Yesterday I felt like it was Forrest Gump’s line speaking over my head, telling me that “life indeed is like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you’re gonna get…I wasn’t really feeling well, partly because it was raining, and another reason could be, is that I miss my hd.. I felt like I have not seen him for so long, and I was hoping the next time I reach out on my bed, he is there to hug me, well, a kiss would be a bonus. So there I was on my melancholic short jeepney ride, and I noticed I was the only passenger, and the driver seems to be enjoying this loud song from his favorite fm station. I realized it was a cheesy song, from Air Supply. The thing is, it’s not one of my favorite songs, yet, it made me smile. So, what did the trick for me? It’s not even one of our of favorite songs, but a couple of lines made this sad heart of mine, smile. It’s not the song , but what it said that hit me. In my mind, I felt like you were there beside me in that jeepney. You were there with your smile that I swear is the best smile I have seen in my life. You were beside me, as I sing along to this song and it goes like this….
